Harvesting Hope

A Season of Growth, Gratitude, and Giving Back at Harmony Garden

As we conclude our Spring/Summer 2023 season at the Drop Collaborative Harmony Garden, we are delighted by the progress we've made in reopening after the COVID-19 closures.

Our Stoney Creek community, including several seniors and children aged 5-8, have successfully cultivated several pounds of cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and corn. These bountiful harvests were generously donated to local churches, homeless individuals, and seniors living on fixed incomes.

In addition to engaging in the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of our garden, the children also received valuable lessons in building compost piles, chopping wood, mowing, tending to cows, and managing the property, all while forming a special bond with our three mascot dogs.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our loyal supporters, including our neighboring community, who provided us with easy access to water, seeds, and plant clippings. We are also indebted to Edge City Design for providing us with land for our activities, as well as handling all administrative functions and expenses.

Furthermore, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to Amy Coy, our dedicated Program Coordinator, for her unwavering commitment, tireless effort, and exceptional leadership in making our Harmony Garden thrive. Amy's dedication has been instrumental in our success, and we look forward to continuing our journey under her guidance.

In this season of reflection and gratitude, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the individuals who have played pivotal roles in our journey. Our Board of Directors, consisting of David Robbins, Esq., Tracey Kendall Wilson, James Hinkle, Dr. Ana Tous, and our very own Amy Coy, have been the guiding force behind our success. Their unwavering dedication, vision, and tireless support have shaped the Harmony Garden into what it is today. We are immensely grateful for their leadership and commitment to our cause.

We eagerly anticipate the arrival of Spring 2024, and we are filled with enthusiasm for the opportunities it will bring.

Onward and upward!
