Honoring a Life Rooted in Joy and Giving

“Margaret’s Garden” at The Drop Collaborative

At The Drop Collaborative, we believe that every seed of kindness planted can grow into something extraordinary. Today, we celebrate the life and lasting impact of Margaret Meyer, a woman whose generosity, creativity, and spirit of service continue to bloom in the hearts of everyone she touched.

Margaret Meyer

Born and raised in Butler, New Jersey, Margaret lived a life guided by compassion and purpose. From managing an answering service company for over twenty years to volunteering as a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts and serving her church, she lived her faith through action. Her artistry shone through the beautiful wreaths she created, each one unique, colorful, and full of heart, which she lovingly shared with family, friends, and neighbors for every season and occasion.

In her later years, Margaret became part of The Drop Collaborative family, contributing her time and creativity to our mission of agricultural education and community giving. She designed festive wreaths for children to take home during our Drop by the Farm mentorship days, small works of art that carried her joy and kindness far beyond the farm itself.

To honor her many years of support and her love of gardening, a new section of our Stoney Creek Farm will be dedicated as “Margaret’s Garden.”

The plaque marking this space once stood in Margaret’s own garden, a cherished reminder of her faith, love of nature, and belief that we are all closer to God’s heart in a garden. This space will serve as a place of reflection, growth, and gratitude, a living tribute to a life well-lived and well-loved.

Every donation made in Margaret’s honor helps continue the work she supported so deeply. No donation is too small.

Every contribution helps us provide free access to farmland, teach sustainable agriculture to Unaka High School students, and donate every vegetable grown at The Drop Collaborative back to the community.
